Most lash lift kits still use Thioglycolic Acid, a strong perming agent that can leave lashes dry, brittle and prone to breakage with repeated use.
We've chosen Cysteamine HCl, a modern alternative designed to lift effectively while keeping lash care in mind.
WHY NOT THIOGLYCOLIC ACID?
Thioglycolic Acid is a harsh perming agent designed to break down the lash structure to force a curl.
While this creates a strong lift, it can also leave lashes dry, brittle and weaker, making them more prone to breakage and damage, especially with repeated use or over-processing.
It can also have a strong chemical odour and may cause stinging or irritation around the eyes.

I honestly didn't expect my lashes to look this good. I've always had straight lashes that disappear without mascara but after using this kit they look so much longer and darker. What is a lash lift and how long does it last?
A lash lift is a treatment that curls and lifts your natural lashes from the root, giving the appearance of longer, fuller lashes without extensions. Results typically last 6–8 weeks, depending on your natural lash growth cycle and aftercare.
Is the lash lift kit safe to use at home?
Yes, our kit is designed for at-home use and is safe when used according to the instructions. No help is needed here and you don't need any previous experience to do it. Always perform a patch test 24–48 hours before use to check for any sensitivities.
Can I use it with tint?
Yes, you definitely can use a tint while using our kit. We recommend using the Everbare Black tint together with our kit.
Will a lash lift damage my natural lashes?
When used correctly and as directed, the lash lift process is gentle and will not damage your lashes. To keep your lashes healthy and strong, wait at least 4 weeks between lifts. Over-processing or incorrect use can weaken lashes, so it’s important to follow all timing guidelines.
How long does the process take?
The full lash lift treatment takes about 45 minutes from start to finish, including setting and nourishing time.
WHY HAVEN’T MY LASHES LIFTED PROPERLY?
Don't worry — your first few lifts are all part of the learning curve 🤎 Think of it as practice — the more you do it, the more the better your results will get. Your best lift is still ahead of you!
If your lashes haven't lifted as much as you'd hoped, check these common mistakes:
- Your lashes weren't sitting straight on the shield. Make sure they're separated, straight and securely attached to the shield before applying the lotions. For an easier application, try gently curling your lashes with a lash curler before starting the treatment.
- You didn't use cling wrap. Cling wrap helps keep the lashes in place and prevents the lotions from drying out while they process. Make sure you use it as directed in the instructions.
- The shield size wasn't right. If you have shorter lashes, we recommend trying the small shield. Choosing the right size can make a big difference to the final lift.
- Your lashes weren't clean enough. Oils, makeup or skincare residue can interfere with the treatment. Always start with clean, dry lashes.
- You used too much adhesive. A little goes a long way! Too much glue can create a barrier between your lashes and the lifting lotion.
Most importantly, follow the steps and timings in your instruction booklet carefully. And don't worry if your first lift isn't perfect — practice makes perfect!
How should I care for my lashes after the lift?
- Avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24–48 hours - that includes water, steam, hot baths, and saunas.
- Stay away from oils, lotions, and shampoos around the eye area during this time, as they can weaken the lift.
- Skip eye makeup, especially mascara, for the first 24 hours.
- Avoid rubbing, pulling, or sleeping face-down on your lashes to prevent misshaping them.
- Avoid waterproof mascara and other harsh products.
